Peace… There is nothing we desire more these days. To relax again, to look to the future with confidence and joy, or simply enjoying the here and now. For many, this is completely unthinkable at the moment, and the reasons are well known. On the other hand, has there ever been a time without crises? And don’t we also have a responsibility to our children and grandchildren to give them hope, lust for life and their future?

How about starting with ourselves? Asking ourselves what causes discord within us and our relationships, and how we can overcome it? How inner peace is connected to the outside world, and what we can do in concrete terms to make a positive contribution? Do we still dare to dream of better times and stand up for them?

What do the ancient texts tell us on this subject, e.g. the Sermon on the Mount in the Gospel of Matthew, the speeches of Martin Luther King, Gandhi or Buddhist philosophy, the mystic Rumi or modern peace research?

These are the questions that Theater Dionysos, the intergenerational ensemble of the Bürgerbühne am Theater Marl, is currently exploring, improvising and putting into play on the way to their new production, which will once again be an in-house production.

The aim is to create a movement theatre that not only stimulates thought, but also gives hope. Are you interested?
